PSA# 2 phase is everything. this may be a concept some of yall dont get but here is a good way to learn what im talking about:
lets say you have 2 kick drums tracks. zoom in far as you can on the wave itself. notice that the wav of each kick and the initial attack (the tallest part of the wave.) if the wave of one kick is positive and the other is negative at the same point then you will have cancellation and lose low end, and or punch.
