@AstridaFN @BrandonSandrson I disagree. Something along the lines of this would have worked.

...

Standing in the doorway was a very angry Tam al'Thor. He glared at Cadsuane. "What have you done to him?"

"What I felt was necessary," Cadsuane lowered her book. "I take it the reunion did not go well?"

Tam took a deep breath, and the anger seemed to suddenly flow out of him. He was still firm, his eyes displeased, but the rage was gone. "Have you seen him? The entire room seemed to grow darker when he entered. And that face— I've seen more emotion in the eyes of a corpse!"

"And you do not see why I did as I did?"

Tam stepped forward. None of the calm left him but there was a sense of... focus. "You knew this might happen?"

"I knew." Cadsuane's voice was quiet. Reserved.

"You sent me in there, knowing what it could do to him."

"I did."

Tam stared at the Aes Sedai, breathing heavily. There was not so much rage in his eyes as horror. "That is monstrous..." he whispered.

Min had never seen weakness in Cadsuane, but now the woman drew in on herself.

"I know."

There was a long silence. Cadsuane sat, back straight, face stern, and yet pain could be felt emenating from her. Tam's glare did not fade. There was nothing forgiving in his stance.

"What now?" Min asked quietly.

"Now?" Cadsuane asked. "Now we wait and see if I have destroyed the world."
