Rape is a tool of control and intimidation for those in power. During Chile and Argentina Dictatorships , thousand of women were rape and their childre sold by the military. WWII hundreds of women were rape, Russians women by the German Army, German women by the Russian to, the Rape of Naking, etc. The same happens in Vietnam, Iraq II, Palestine, Lebanon, you name it. Even here during the Civil War. RAPE is the ultimate tool of control and humiliation. 
The Police in Egypt, pro Mubarak, have being using Rape too as a tool of intimidation, that's why Egyptian women were the ones to rescue her. It's a reality, is a tragedy.
This whole incident has nothing to with RELIGION or NATIONALITIES. This is a problem that affect as all the same. RAPE is the ultimate tool for subjugation and violence. RAPE turn human beings into Objects of pleasure, Objects of punishment. With Lara Logan there are hundreds of million of women (and men) that are victims every day around the world, and many times from their own husbands and/or family members.
Also, I should say (even though many will hate me or call me nasty names for mention it, and maybe another Twitter suspension as it happened with my original account @YAGO32) At the same time we want justice for Lara Logan, and we condemn those inhuman that RAPED her and abused her, we should apply the same passion and angriness to bring justice for those 256 women that are RAPE every year in the Island of Okinawa ( no matter the age) by US Military Personal stationed in the different Military bases inside this small Island, since the end of WWII.
Let grab this tragedy to bring into the spotlight all cases of Rape, abuse and lack of Accountability for those the perpetuate this Violation and those that protect them . Justice should be applied to everybody in the same way.
It's time to end all Violence against women, to stop Misogyny once for all.
