SPANISH GRAMMAR: The conjunction "And" in Spanish is simply "y". Except when "AND" is followed by a word that starts with the letter i. A change takes place, because both the "Y"(and) & the letter i have the same pronunciation "ee"
So to say "and" in such situations "e" pronounced "eh is used instead.
EXAMPLES:
(Not followed by the letter i)
Bonita y agradable = beautiful and charming
(followed by the letter i)
Famoso e importante = famous & important
