Dear Fans,

thank you for all the messages and concerns you have sent within the last 24 hours. Unfortunately we need to confirm that Bobby Edner is no longer a part of the band Varsity Fanclub.

We have followed a common goal for a long time and spent many wonderful moments together, but unfortunately there has also been many differences along the way.

We as a band, moving with the times, owe it to our fans around the world that we move forward. We have been working together with our team on a new musical concept, a new style, and headlining tours. Bobby has not endorsed or supported these future steps, (which we regret very much.) We have tried to convince Bobby several times the route that needs to happen for the band to be successful, but unfortunately we have not been able to get through to him. Since he was not willing to compromise and accept the necessary changes, we had no choice but to go on the road in the future without him.

Many of you have asked why we did not stand up for Bobby. We want to make this very clear. We have always backed Bobby to the fullest extent possible and we always will with his future endevours. This situation has been growing for many years and has sadly come to a conclusion.

To say goodbye to a band member after such a long time isn‘t easy for any of us, but we have to look forward for the bands best interest.
It was an option of four of us… or none of us. This has nothing to do with our management making this decision, but simply Bobby not agreeing with the road ahead.

We hope to see you at many great shows in Europe this summer and in the United States this fall.

Thank you very much for supporting us. We love you!

Drew, David, Jayk, T.C.
