Furry Girl's feud is on Salon: http://is.gd/ciOhyA Shades of history. Maybe it's time to share this piece of the past:

I see a pattern in this latest feud from some of my own history (that I feel still impacts me to this day) becoming evident to other people. Consider starting here:

http://www.feminisnt.com/2010/loving-my-enemy-and-ineffective-activism-ally-commentary-surrounding-the-stop-porn-culture-conference/

If that page changes, here is a frozen/archived version:

Note, especially, the line in Furry Girl's above post reading:

> Over on Twitter, a group of people were back-and-forthing about the conference, but it was a discussion that mostly left me shocked as to how obtuse and paternalistic some "allies" can be.
>
> At the outset of the discussion, I was reprimanded by several people and told I'm mustn't even joke about porn being evil since I'll surely get quoted out of context and harm the cause.

I'm pretty sure she's referring to at least this:

I wouldn't call that tweet a "reprimand," but Furry Girl seems to have done so.

The tweet from @helio_girl was an @-reply in a Twitter discussion that looked like this, chronologically.

At around this point I wanted to say something since the discussion was all over my Twitter feed (meaning people I followed closely were involved) and it was also filling up the #KFADC2 and #StopPornCon hashtags from the KinkForAll Washington DC 2 unconference and the anti-porn activists' "Stop Porn Culture" conference happening that day.[0] So, I did:

That was the end of the one-to-one, but then this started:

Anyway, two days after this, the Feminisnt.com blog post I referenced in the very beginning of this was published. So I left a few comments there because it was clear from the post Furry Girl wrote that she didn't have or didn't want all the context of the situation, rejecting it when it was offered. For instance:

I had been planning to do a Kink On Tap show with the sex-positive folks who were at the #StopPornCon conference,[0] and so I advertised that fact:

https://twitter.com/KinkOnTap/status/16623548186

That tweet started this next thread:

https://twitter.com/furrygirl/status/16646536430
https://twitter.com/maymaym/status/16647123745
https://twitter.com/furrygirl/status/16648972475
https://twitter.com/maymaym/status/16650500712

Furry Girl and her Twitter loyalists continued amongst themselves:

https://twitter.com/roxxiecyber/status/16653024585
https://twitter.com/furrygirl/status/16654447785
https://twitter.com/MsKittenHeels/status/16654630478
https://twitter.com/furrygirl/status/16657044999

My friends and I felt like this:

https://twitter.com/maymaym/status/16673657640

Furry Girl's griefing[1] continued, however, to spread:

https://twitter.com/makomk/status/16717301809
https://twitter.com/makomk/status/16717439094
https://twitter.com/makomk/status/16717685862

https://twitter.com/makomk/statuses/16719652846
https://twitter.com/maymaym/statuses/16720009748
https://twitter.com/makomk/statuses/16720343383
https://twitter.com/maymaym/statuses/16720892108

That last tweet of mine ended things, at least as far as I could see. The challenge I made to actually listen to Kink On Tap has not yet been answered and I have not heard back from Furry Girl or any of her loyalists regarding the episode we published.[2]

Today, many people seem to be surprised at Furry Girl's behavior, but Furry Girl is incredibly intelligent, opinionated, and stalwart in her convictions. These are admirable traits. However, I find decontextualization coupled with stonewalling—a pattern of hers—to be unethical.[3]
