@cekoni Good morning:) Thank you for takig the time to write! Here are my answers to your questions:
Plushenko as a person: backstage and at competitions always professional and above reproach. Olympics 2010, stepping on top podium spot and saying he won Platinum medal in my mind is arrogant and unsportsmanlike.
His performance in 2006 was thrilling for me. Not arrogant at all - filled with pride - and will make my top 10 performances for sure!
Choreography: is the best jumper ever born and an amazing skater. Zueva, Camerlengo, Wilson or Nichol would have made sure he had a 3 jump and not 2 jump combo in 2010 which would have made him 2x Olympic Champion - that kind of error is sad for him, unnecessary makes me crazy...
As an announcer in 2002: the rumours were that because Plushenko and Mr Mishin were in Russia training and Yagudin and Mme Tarasova were in the US - that the Federation would have preffered to have Plushenko win. As a coach, makes sense to me - I am sure if Canada had the choice they would rather Chan or Virtue and Moir were training in Canada and not away.
In many ways - it is a shame that the two men were around at the same time - both were/are amazing skaters. Am interested in your thoughts? Pj :)
