Chapter 40:
Sitting quietly in the corner you had put yourself in, there was no noise to be heard at all.... As if the house had been neglected for five years, but while you was still sitting in the corner you though about Aston calling you his girlfriend.... It did make you fall in love with him more, but you had to bring yourself around that you couldn't date him! Not after the history you both shared. While thinking all of this through, the bedroom door opened and Aston stumbled in with a bleeding lip "babe?" He asked for you as he was our breath from the fighting he just encountered, but slowly and shakily you kneeled on the side of the bed you was on to have Aston look at you and smile as he got his breath back. "Where has he gone?" You asked quietly as Aston smiled and walked over to the bed and plonked himself on it "out.... Don't know where and don't care" he smiled as he reached out his hand for you to take, which you timidly took "you will be a strong girl for me won't you?" He asked shyly as you laid yourself down right in to his side "yeah" you whispered as you placed your head on to his shoulder.
"Why did you call me your girlfriend?" You asked suddenly after a few minutes of lying in peace and quiet, "hmm.... I...." Aston panicked as he got off the bed and started to make a dash for the bedroom door "Ast?" "I.... I gotta...." He said before disappearing out the bedroom door "ASTON" you shouted after him, but got no reply so you sat up before sitting on his pillows and curling yourself up in to a ball and started to hum a song to yourself. It seemed that you spent at least a good half an hour up there, but it was only ten minutes in reality, while you was looking out the window you noticed a body moving closer to yours again "because I love you" he whispered in to your ear as a reply for your question that caused a smile to appear on your face "I love you too" you giggled as you turned around and buried yourself in to his body as he held you tightly. "I want you to be mine" he moaned slightly as you giggled in reply to his sweet comment "can I ask a question?" He asked being a bit more confident, "will you be my girlfriend?" He asked shyly as he lost all the confidence in his body and started to wait for your answer "no" you said simply as you turned him down painfully, but then you thought you should be more sensitive with your words, but now was too late! "Okay" he whispered shyly as you could tell he was heart broken and you could feel tears land on to your head, which made you feel bad for how you said your answer and what your answer was "hmm.... I gotta go" Aston said pulling away from the heart breaking moment and making a dash for the bedroom door.... You had crushed him completely and not because of your history, but because you didn't want him, as much as you loved him and needed him, you didn't want him which made you break your heart.
"ASTON" you shouted after him as you traced his tracks in running footsteps "ASTON WAIT" you shouted again as you saw him grab his coat and keys and some money as he wiped a tear away that had fallen helplessly "ASTON" you shouted for him again as you had just gotten to the bottom of the stairs, but he had walked out the house with a quiet noise of the door shutting leaving tears to roll down your face. It seemed pretty obvious that he had made a quick escape from you, to get away from the pain you just caused him, but meanwhile you had opened the front door to see Aston crying his eyes out in his car, before he moved off and drove down the road.... How could this be so painful?
Aston's POV:
I knew she was going to turn me down and I knew it was going to be because of our history! As I continued to drive towards Nando's (I had asked the boys to meet me there) I felt the tears roll down my face, but I quickly wiped them away. I had done that right until I parked my car in a car park, how the hell was I going to go home and be able to face her? I only hoped she would be gone, by the time I got back to mine....
