Long Niall #imagine part 1.

You're in school today, it's a Wednesday. Your classes are really boring and you can't really pay much attention. The only thing you think about is that your boyfriend Niall's coming to pick you up from school today. You're really excited, yet a little bit nervous. It's the first time he's gonna pick you up, and nobody knows you're his girlfriend. You've been together for about two months now, and it has been the best ever. Today, Niall comes back from his three week tour in Australia.

Your best friend keeps snapping her fingers infront of your eyes, to keep you concentrated. She knows about you and Niall, so she understands, but still. You look at your watch. Still half an hour to go. You really can't wait any longer. Suddenly your phone starts ringing. One Thing is blasting out of the speakers. The whole class turn their heads to you and your face gets as red as a tomato. You take your phone out of your pocket and see Niall is calling you. You quickly decline and put him back. "Let that be the last time, missy." the teacher says. He likes you, so he won't mind that much. He turns around to the blackboard and you take your phone out of your pocket. You see Niall texted you.

Hey babe, I'm standing outside already. Just come to the front. I can't wait to see you, I've missed you so much! xoxo

It was the first time you were gonna see eachother after he went on tour. You missed him like crazy, so you were really excited when he asked you to pick you up. You try to text back as subtle as possible.

I've missed you like crazy, can't wait to see you. I'll be out in about half an hour, don't go anywhere ;) oh and btw: please don't call me again when I'm in school, or else I might have to give up my phone :( love you :) xoxo

the 30 minutes must have been the slowest 30 minutes in your whole life. When you hear the bell ringing, you can't be fast enough. You grab all your stuff, throw it in your backpack and you give your friend a hug. "see you tomorrow lovely!" you yell while walking out of school.

You're searching for Niall's car but you can't find it. Suddenly you see a small crowd forming. You don't know what's happening, but then you see some blond hair sticking out of the crowd. You come closer and when Niall sees you, he pushes everyone out of his way and comes running up to you. You grab his neck and he spins you around. You can't help but smile. He stops spinning you and he gives you a long passionate kiss. You take his head in your hands and press your lips against his. You've missed this so much. You're both smiling during the kiss when you suddenly hear: "Hey, you two love birds!" you stop the kiss and look. You can't believe it! The rest of the boys are standing there, you've missed them too so much! They really became like family and you spend almost all your time at their apartment. Niall lets go of his grip and you run to the other boys. You hug them all and you're so happy to see them. Niall grabs you from behind and lays his head on your shoulder. You're so happy they're back. But while they were on tour, you had a good time with the other girlfriends. You get along very well, so that's great.

You hear some whispering behind your back and there are standing some girls. You all look around and you also see Amber. You hated that kid. She felt so good about herself and she always thought she was right. You really couldn't stand here. When you turned around, with Niall still around you, she gave you really a jealous look. You almost couldn't stop laughing. She was like the one everyone had to move out of her way. Every younger girl wanted to be like her. So you thought this was the best way to say: HA in your face! Then a girl asked for a few pictures. The boys did it, but not for long. The girls were all lovely to you, so you liked that.

On the ride home, you lay your head on Niall's shoulder. "What's the plan?" you ask him. "Oh, I thought we could go for a lovely day at the beach?" "I'd love to, but I got a lot of homework to do actually." you look at him with a sad expression on your face. "You know what?" he suggest. "Let's first finish your homework together and then we still have the night? So we could watch some movies, and just cuddle up on the couch, how's that." you smile big. "Lovely." you say and you kiss his lips. When you arrive at Niall's apartment, the first thing you do is text your mum. She agrees with you staying at Niall's, so there's no problem. "I can stay!" "Yes!" Niall lifts you up and spins you around. "I've missed you, you know that?" he says with those hypnotizing blue eyes. "I do yes. I've missed you too hun. I'm really glad you're back. I couldn't hold it any longer." you say smiling. Niall puts you back on the ground and he says: "So, let's get started then!" he grabs your back pack and opens it. "What do you have to do due to tomorrow?" "Some math excersises." you go to your back pack and help Niall. You take out your Math book and go sit on the kitchen table. Niall takes a seat next to you, and you start working on it. It really sucks and you don't get a thing of all of this. But Niall is there to help you and surprinsingly, he's pretty good at Math. He helps you with everything you need. After that, you two have a lovely meal, just some ordered pizza, and Niall feeds you.

"Babe, what movie are we gonna watch?" "I don't know, Niall! Which ones do you have?" you yell from out of the kitchen, cleaning up the dishes and waiting for the popcorn. "Erm, I have Monster Inc., The Titanic, Deep Blue Sea, Marley and Me, just come and look for a sec, there are too many to say." "Okay!" you go to the living room and you see Niall on his knees. He looks into a closet. You open the door a little bit and bend your knees, so you're on the same hight as Niall. "Let me see." you go with your hand over the DVD's and find 'My sister's keeper' with Cameron Diaz. "This one." you say and smile. "Okay, I'll put him in." he smiles and gives you a kiss. You love that movie, although it's pretty hard for you, cause your babysister died of cancer. You've never told Niall, cause he never asked for it before. It happened a three years ago.

***flashback***

"[Y/N]!!!" your mum yelled. "What?" you opened the door of your bedroom and stuck your head out. You were a little bit annoyed, cause your family kept interrupting you while you were studying. Back then, you were 15 years old. You had a brother of 20, and a sister with the age of 10. Your sister was diagnosed with lung cancer last year and it had been very hard for you. You had a good relationship with her although you sometimes fought. "It's not going good with Sarah! We have to go to the hospital now!" "What do you mean, it's not going good?" you were shocked, cause the week before the doctors told you she was getting better. "She passed out and the cancer is worse than ever. They started with the chemo this morning, so we can see her now. We really have to go now!" you started to get tears in your eyes. You grabbed your bag and rushed downstairs.

You came into the hospital and went to the 5th floor, room 505. You could remember that day perfectly. You, your mum and brother Nick ran into her room and she had all kinds of tubes in her mouth and she was just laying there. You burst out into tears and your brother hugged you. His t-shirt was getting wet, but he didn't mind, cause he was crying too. You couldn't believe it, it was awful to see her like that. She was so tiny and lost a lot of weight due to the chemo. The doctor came and told you that she wasn't responding to the chemo anymore. They tried again that morning, so now they're waiting for the results. You couldn't handle all of this, so you ran out of the hospital, with your brother behind you. You were almost at the end of the hallway, when your brother caught you and hugged you tightly, while you were both crying like crazy.

Once you calmed down a little bit, you went back to Sarah's room. Your mum told you that you were going home, but you wanted to stay with your little sister, in case she might wake up. At first, your mum didn't let you, but then you just didn't move anymore, so she gave up and walked out. Your brother gave you a kiss on your forehead and left the room with your mum.

You were holding on tight on Sarah's hand while you were sleeping. Suddenly you felt her hand move. You looked up straight away and saw Sarah looking at you, with those big brown eyes. They were magical. "Hey" she smiled. "Have you been here all the time?" she said with a lot of effort. "Yes, I have. How are you feeling?" "Better." she pressed a little button to call a nurse. She almost came immediately. "Hey Sarah! How are you feeling?" "Good, actually." "That's good. Well, just try to rest as much as you can, I'm calling the doctor to see if he can come by." and she disappeared again. "[Y/N]?" Sarah asked. "Yes?" "I have to tell you something, but promise me you'll never tell anyone else?" "Yes, of course! You can tell me anything." you gave her a weak smile. "I feel the end coming closer." she said. "That's good isn't it?" "No, not the end of the cancer, the end of my life." she said with a trembling voice. You couldn't believe what she just said. Tears were immediately streaming down your face. "You can't say that, please don't say that." "I tried. But I feel it's coming closer. I get weaker everyday and I can't get stronger again." "Please, Sarah, don't say that!" you go with your hand over her head, under all the sobbing and crying.

After you discussed it for a while, you laid down with her in her bed. She laid a little bit lower, so she could hear your heartbeat and you could calm her down. You turned the bed over to the window so you could see the sky, which was full of beautiful stars. "If you ever need me," she broke the silence, "just look up at that star." she pointed to one of the brightest stars. "I'll be there. Just talk to me and I'll answer." you started to crying again. "I will. I promise you, I will. Please be there when I need you?" "That's a promise." you were both crying. A few hours later, she died in your arms, watching the night sky.

***Back to now***

Only thinking about it makes you tear up a little bit, because it had been some time since you thought about it and also the fact that she died in your arms is something where you probably never gonna get over. But, you thought, let's not ruin the night, it's mine and Niall's special night tonight. You put on a somewhat fake smile and you hear the microwave making some noise. You look up and see the popcorn is ready. You grab a bowl and put it in there. "Babe, are you coming?" you hear Niall shout. "Yes, just a second!" you grab the bowl and go to the livingroom. You sit next to Niall, who looks you deep into the eyes. "What?" you ask. "Love, are you okay?" "Yes, why wouldn't I?" "Oh, no, it just seemed like something was on your mind." "I'm fine babe, seriously. I'm here with you now." you say smiling. Niall gives you a weak smile and hugs you. "I'm always right here, you know that?" "I do, now shh, the film starts!" you kiss him on his lips and smile.

During the film, everything is going good. You and Niall snuggle up and just lay down. You love those times, it really makes you feel loved and you just love his hugs. The end is coming and you feel you can't handle it. You try to stay strong for a little bit longer, cause it went pretty good during the film. But now it's just too much. Tears start streaming down your face. Niall hears you sobbing and lifts you up, so your eyes meet. "Hey, hey, don't cry. It's just a film." he wipes away your tears with his thumbs, but there are too many. "I'm sorry." you say and you run to his bedroom. You jump on the bed and hide in the pillows. Those are getting pretty wet from all the tears. It's just all too much. There's a knock on the door. "[Y/N]? Are you okay?" you can't bring anything out except for "Please Niall, let me alone for a moment?" you hear someone walk away from the door. You think of everything that happened with your sister. It just makes you cry even more.

You've calmed down a little bit after half an hour, so you notice when you look at the time. You lay in a little ball, legs by your chest, your head on a pillow. Once in a while a tears streams down your face. You're watching the rain pooring down the window. You're laying with your back to the door when there's another knock on the door. You look over your shoulder and you see some blond hair through the door opening. "Can I come in?" you don't say anything and face the windown again. You hear Niall shutting the door and coming closer to his bed. He comes on the bed and starts comforting you. You sit up straight and lay your head on his chest. He leans against the back of the bed. "what's the matter?" you grab his shirt and roll it in your fist. Tears are starting to roll out of your eyes again.

When you've calmed down again, you're able to tell Niall everything. "Why didn't you tell me earlier?" he asks you after a big hug to support you. "You never asked, and I wasn't ready to tell you yet." you look him into those blue eyes. "I'm so sorry." you say and you start to tear up. "Hey, hey, don't say sorry! You can't help it. I wouldn't have forced you to tell me. I'm happy you told me." he smiles at you, which makes you smile weakily. "Can I stay over? I really don't want to go home actually." "Of course you can! Do you have school tomorrow?" "Yes, but I've got everything with me, so I can stay here. If it's ok with you ofcourse." "Yes, yes! Should you call your mum?" "Yeah, I'll text her later." "Babe, text her now." "Okay, okay." you grab your phone while Niall's holding your hand. You text your mum you told Niall everything about Sarah and to ask if you could stay. She surprisingly says yes. You look at the time. It's 9.30pm. "I can stay, but can I go to sleep already? I'm really tired." "Yeah, I'm pretty exhausted too, let's get ready." he smiles. You decide to take a long shower and when you come out, you realize you don't have your pj's with you. "Niall? Can I borrow a t-shirt of you please? I don't have my pj's here." "Here is one!" he throws you a clean t-shirt. It lands in your face and you take a good smell. It smells exactly like him. You put it on, and it's way too big for you, but you don't mind. You come out of the bathroom and Niall's already in bed. "Come here babe." he says and lays you down. You fall asleep like that, not knowing what's going to happen the next day.
