Hello my name is Marta Duce and my twitter is @JonasMyLife_M. I’m 16 and I’m from Madrid, Spain. I’m a Jonas’ fan and this is a letter to the Jonas Brothers so please if you are reading this help this letter reach the JoBros.
Dear Jonas Brothers:
First, forgive me because I don’t speak English very well, hope you understand everything I’ll say.
I don’t want you to follow me on twitter or something like that. I just gonna tell you how important you are for some people like me.
Four years ago you came into my life in an unexpected way. I was 12 and my father bought me my first teen magazine called ‘BRAVO’. The cover of that magazine had a headline that read ‘Jonas Brothers: The guys that are in vogue’. Since I read that, my life changed. I started to looking for your music on Youtube. The first song I heard of you was ‘Hold On’.
Little by little I became more fan, I bought your albums, your movies, your merchandising, etc. In 2008 you came to Madrid to sign albums but I coudn’t go because I was too young so my parents didn’t let me go.
In 2009 you came to Madrid once again. You did two concerts here; by that time I still had no Internet so I ask a friend to bought the tickets for me. I didn't have money and either my parents so I had to ask for money to my family.
But that friend forgot to buy the tickets and when she told me that, the tickets were sold out. And I coudn’t go to the second concert for lack of money.
That’s when I really realized that I wasn’t a fan… I was and I am a Jonatic!
Fortunately last year (2011) I could see you, Joe.
Joe, you came to Madrid in June to record a program called ‘El Hormiguero (The anthill)’ I waited 5 hours outside the set just to saw you through a glass and Wow! you greeted us. I’ve never felt so happy that someone greets me. I know that’s crazy but it meant a lot to me.
Later you came to Madrid in October to promote your album ‘Fast Life’. That day was crazy! I lied to my teacher and I told her that I had to go to the dentist but the reality was that I went to see you. I waited 4 hours and when you appear I got crazy and I started to cry. I was thinking: OMG is he! Is Joe! My idol, who lives thousand of miles from my country, is in front of me! That day was magical. You signed my CD and you hugged me. Definitely that was the best day of my life!
But my dream is to meet you all, guys. I love you very much.
With this letter what I want to tell you is how important you’re for your fans.
Many Jonatics wait days, weeks or even months for your concerts and this is the clearest evidence of how much we love you.
We love you for your music but also for the values that you have and you transmit to us.
You show us that our dreams can come true and we have to work hard to get what we want.
Kevin, our Guitar Hero. You’ll always be there for us and we know it. You’re the stability of the band and without you the band wouldn’t be so magical and amazing as it is now. You’re the soul of the band. We really love you so so much. And you know, S.O.S wouldn’t be the same without your dance.
Joe, our DJ Danger. You’re and have the eternal smile. You are always making jokes and that makes us feel good and happy. You give it your all on stage and we have fun watching that you feel confortable with us. You make us feel special. Thank you.
Nick, our President. You’re the strength. You inspire us with your music and with your ability to overcome. You have taught us that nothing can stop us and that we have to keep fighting for what we want. And also you have taught us that hope is the last thing you lose. You’re our inspiration.
I have millions of things to say to you but the letter would be eternal. But luckily I have two words that sum it all…
