CHAPTER 21
We found Nikki in the lobby, sitting quietly with her Nook in her hand. I heard Nick sigh as he stared at her.
"You'll get her back, Nick." I said as I walked over to Nikki. I sat down across from her, she was smiling alittle, probably reading something romantic. She looked up at me with her blue eyes and her smile faded.
"Nikki. I know that you already know what happened, so there's no need to explain it again. But we BOTH wanted to apologize, Nikki. None of us meant for that to happen. And it won't happen again, Madison forgave me and I know that it might take some time, but I just wanted you to know that we are both truely sorry." I got up and walked over to hug her. I didn't care if she didn't hug me back, she needed to hear me out. I felt her hug me back and I smiled into her soft golden hair.
"Maria? Can I talk to you? Alone?" She asked. I nodded my head and we walked over to the little bar they had in the lobby. We both ordered a mango smoothie.
"Thanks for forgiving me, Nikki." I said, trying not the slightest bit to hide my smile.
"No problem," she said smiling "But I don't forgive Nick...Yet." She continued. I nodded.
"I understand. But he loves you Nikki. I saw him crying after that. And you know Nick, he never crys."
She looked down at her drink and smiled. "He's so cute." She whispered.
"AND THAT IS WHY YOU TWO NEED TO GET MARRIED!!!" I screamed out. She looked at me as if to say 'shut up' but she couldn't hide her smile.
"Seriously, Nikki. You gotta forgive him. He's worth-" I couldn't finish my sentance. Nick, interupting our conversation, turned Nikki around and pressed his lips agenst hers. She smiled and kissed back, wrapping her arms around Nick's neck.
"Well then...I'm gonna go that way..." I whispered as I backed up towards the elevator.
