Thank you for reporting on your blog (with links to primary documents) my formal complaint to Victoria's Legal Services Commissioner concerning the renewed media reports of lawyer misconduct by Prime Minister Julia Gillard: http://blogs.news.com.au/heraldsun/andrewbolt/index.php/heraldsun/comments/inquiry_into_awu_scandal_requested/

Can you imagine any other country, anywhere in the world, where serious allegations like these brought against the elected (?) Head of State (?) would not be subjected to full and proper government, parliament and judicial investigations? It is so important that these allegations concerning Julia Gillard are properly investigated and properly laid to rest, one way or the other. And the investigative process and outcomes must be reported to the public. There can be no democracy without transparency, equality under the law and adherence to due process (ie “rule of law”).
I will keep you posted on the progress of this formal complaint process – or, more than likely, the blocking thereof.

I have no expectation that there will be any genuine investigation of Julia Gillard by the Legal Services Commissioner. These allegations have been well and truly ignored and even covered-up by the “old boys [and girls]” lawyer / government establishment since Gillard's days as a Kirner and then a Brumby ALP-staffer in the mid 1990s. In addition, the Legal Services Commissioner is without a doubt one of the most corrupt of the (too) many public-funded, lawyer-built-owned-operated-dominated government agencies that make up the Victorian and Australian governments.

George, the “regulators' regulator” was suitably gagged and de-testicled a few months after his 2009 Annual Report was tabled in Parliament. And yet since that scathing 2009 Annual Report to Parliament, George has never mention the “Legal Services Commissioner” publicly again. And there are more in-depth report(s) that George, the Brumby government and now the Baillieu Government refuse to make public in State Parliament or through the FOI process. It is impossible not to link George's loss of vocabulary to the “curious priority” visit he received in January 2010 from the incoming / current Legal Services Commissioner, Michael Keith McGarvie: see Leonie Wood's report a year and a bit later, http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/policing-the-lawyers-the-balance-between-procedure-and-fairness-20110429-1e0od.html . Also a lawyer, Michael McGarvie was the CEO of the Victorian Supreme Court before he was rushed to fill the vacancy created by the untimely “resignation in disgrace” of the inaugural Legal Services Commissioner, lawyer Ms Victoria Marles (sister of Labor Federal MHR for Corio and Parliamentary Secretary, fellow lawyer Richard Marles). Inking in the lawyerocracy, Michael McGarvie is the eldest son of former (deceased) Victorian Supreme Court Judge and former Governor of Victoria, Richard (“Dick”) McGarvie.
