How was Obama’s Higher Education financed?

New information: A 1979 column by Vernon Jarrett, titled "Will Arabs Back Ties To Blacks With Cash?"

Per a September 22, 2012 column in "The Daily Inter Lake" by Frank Miele, a tale had surfaced in 2008 when Barack Obama was a candidate for president. Miele's column is here:

Miele states, "One of the leading black politicians in the country — Percy Sutton of New York — told an interviewer on a Manhattan TV news show that he had been introduced to Obama “by a friend who was raising money for him.

Continuing per Miele: "[Obama's] friend’s name is Dr. Khalid al-Mansour, from Texas. He is the principal adviser to one of the world’s richest men. He told me [Sutton] about Obama.”

The late Percy Sutton (d. 2009) was Manhattan (New York City) borough president from 1966 to 1977.

Per Wikipedia, Sutton led an extraordinary life of achievement (my evaluation), including, during World War II, serving as an intelligence officer with the Tuskegee Airmen.

Wikipedia outlines, as another example of Sutton's achievements, his BSA history, where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 1936, and was recognized with the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award as an adult.

Again per Wikipedia, previously Sutton had been the legal representative for Malcolm X.

Yet again per Wikipedia, after the murder of Malcolm X in 1965, Sutton and his brother Oliver helped to cover the expenses of his widow, Betty Shabazz.

Per Miele: "This peculiar revelation engendered a small hubbub in 2008, but was quickly dismissed by the Obama campaign as the ditherings of a senile old man.

Miele continues, "I don’t believe President Obama himself ever denied the story personally, and no one has explained how Sutton came up with this elaborate story about Khalid al-Mansour if it had no basis in fact, and in any case al-Mansour no longer denies it."

Related three-minute YouTube video of Percy Sutton, age 88 (apx.), from a program "Inside City Hall," which was uploaded to YouTube on August 21st, 2008, where he recounts this incident:

Miele, in his Sept. 22 column, brings to light a 1979 column by Vernon Jarrett, titled "Will Arabs Back Ties To Blacks With Cash?"

Vernon Jarrett's column may shed new light on possible Arab funding of Obama’s Higher Education.

The late Vernon Jarrett (d. 2004) today may be best known as the father of Valerie Jarrett, currently serving as a Senior Advisor to the President of the United States.

Per Wikipedia, Vernon Jarrett led an extraordinary life of achievement (my evaluation), including, for three years beginning in 1948, partnering with composer Oscar Brown, Jr. to produce Negro Newsfront, the first daily radio news broadcast in the United States to be created by African Americans.

Again, per Wikipedia, Jarrett was the first African American to be a syndicated columnist for the Chicago Tribune, beginning in 1970. During his years at the Tribune, he also was a host on Chicago's ABC-TV station, WLS, where he produced nearly 2,000 television broadcasts.

Today (Sept. 23rd, 2012), PJ Media features a recap by Ronald Radosh, titled: "A 1979 story by Vernon Jarrett Sheds New Light on possible Arab funding of Obama’s Higher Education." That recap is here:
http://ow.ly/dVwqY

Radosh's article features the following text:

"The shocker in Miele’s article is that the 1979 story was written by none other than Vernon Jarrett- the leftist journalist who was the future father-in-law of Valerie Jarrett, now Obama’s top advisor.

"Jarrett, as Miele notes, was “one of the best friends and a colleague of Frank Marshall Davis,” the black Communist who became influential in the life of Barack Obama.

"In his article, Jarrett wrote that those receiving these funds would help create a “new black advocacy for a homeland for the Palestinians” and presumably support other Arab interests in the Middle East."

Radosh's conclusion is the same as my own:

"Miele’s find deserves widespread attention. In 2008, Percy Sutton’s claim was denigrated as the ramblings of an old man close to senility, and had no legs.

"Now, Miele shows that al-Mansour was involved in trying to get Arab money for American blacks in 1979, and it gives new credibility to Sutton’s claim that he was approached by Mansour at the time Obama was trying to get accepted to Harvard Law."

I invite you to evaluate, RT, & take action as appropriate.
