The creation:

From Chaos it all became, the first living beings on the planet were Titans, born from Gaia (earth) and Ouranos (sky). The most important Titans were Cronos and Rhea.

First problems:

The age of the Titans was a golden age and like every golden age it had to end eventually, this golden age ended when the titan Cronos got a warning from his parents that one of his children will kill him and take his throne. Cronos couldn't allow that and so he ate every child he got with his wife/sister Rhea. Rhea, as a mother, couldn't handle to see her every child getting eaten as soon as they are born, so when she was pregnant with her last child, Zeus, she tricked Cronos. She gave Cronos a rock instead of Zeus and Cronos didn't even notice. She gave birth to Zeus without Cronos knowing and gave the child to the Oceanid Metis and so Zeus was saved and had a mission and a destiny to save his brothers and sisters and end the age of Titans.

Preparations:

After Zeus had grown up and was ready to save his brothers and sisters, but he needed allies. Cronos threw his brothers, the Cyclops and the hundred-armed to Tartarus, where Zeus saved them from. Zeus then poisoned Cronos' drink and after drinking it he vomited his children, they were Gods, they couldn't die so they simply grew up in their father's stomach. Some titans supported Zeus and the armies were ready and everybody knew who was fighting for who. Gods took mount Olympus and so began the War Of The Titans, or the Titanomachy

Titanomachy:

It was obvious who will win, Zeus got the power of thunder from the Cyclops and Poseidon got his trident, while Hades got an invisible helmet. Gods didn't need a long time to win the war, they threw Cronos and his brothers to Tartarus and it was guarded by the hundred-armed, however with the golden titan age done, the Gods ruled the World and they needed to set someone in charge and punish titan survivors.

Punishment:

Atlas is the most known, and the only punished titan I can write about without telling you more about him. Atlas was punished to hold the sky (some say the universe, some say Earth and the sky, some say just Earth...) for eternity.

Main God:

3 Gods had the right to rule other Gods, brothers Hades, Zeus and Poseidon. Hades wanted the throne cause he was the eldest, Zeus wanted it because he saved everybody and Poseidon didn't have much to say :( . In the end they were drawing straws (or something similar, I doubt they had straws back then...) and Zeus got the longest, while Hades got the smallest (straw, not what you were thinking...), while Poseidon, not asking much, got the middle length one. Zeus got to rule them all and the sky, Poseidon got the middle, the sea, and Hades got the lowest, the underworld.
