Chapter 3:

“Okay... So, what are we gonna do today? Actually, I tell you what... As you have had a rough night. I’ll do something you wanna do, just us,” Aston told you as you were sat on the sofa of your living room, but the memories of last night from the sofa were beginning to eat into you, so you didn’t reply nor look at Aston. “Hello?” Aston asked, trying to prize something out of you, but you flicked your eyes over to his “what?” You asked softly “what do you want to do today?” He asked “I wanna get rid of that sofa...The memories from last night are disturbing me,” you said quietly, as Aston sighed and frowned at the sofa, “come on then... Let’s go to furniture village or ikea and look around at some new sofas. It’ll be a shame for this sofa to go,” he told you, before commenting his opinion, but you smiled at him as you remembered when you and Aston made pure intimate love on that sofa one evening. “Mm, it will be,” you said cheekily as Aston then casted his eyes over to yours and made strong eye contact, before smirking, “are you remembering a certain event?” He asked cheekily, as you giggled seductively “mm... Cheeky,” he winked as you giggled seductively again, before biting your lip “wow... You can turn a guy on quicker than turning on a TV,” Aston admitted, but blushed as you smiled sweetly “good,” you giggled, “if I wasn’t married. You’d be on this sofa screaming my name, but you’re lucky that I have this ring around my finger,” He told you, before showing the silver ring around his married finger, which you longed to have the other ring that is in partnership to his. “I guess I am lucky... Saved by the ring,” you winked as he smirked “you’re really pushing your luck,” he winked as you battered your eye lashes at him, which made him roll his eyes, “come on you... Let’s get you a new sofa,” he chuckled as you both got up and headed for the front door.

Aston’s POV:

“Like this one?” I asked, as I pointed out a cream sofa that could recline, as we were in furniture village. “I’m not sure... I mean, I like it...” “It’s the colour,” I said, as she looked at me and smiled “how did you know I was gonna say that?” She asked astonished “how long have I known you for?” “True,” she replied, but she knew the answer to my question would be the answer to her question. “Black,” I said, as she looked at me astonished “you know more about me then I do,” she giggled as I smiled, “so this sofa in black?” A female voice spoke up on the left side of me, as (Your name) was on my right, this made me and (Your name) look at a blue eyed blonde girl, in a business type outfit. “How much is it?” I asked “this sofa is on a special, so it’ll be: five hundred and twenty pounds,” “what was it originally?” I asked “one thousand, one hundred and ninety nine,” she smiled a pearl white smile “that’s actually pretty cheap then, from that price. What’d ya say?” I asked turned to (Your name) who smiled “I’ll take it,” she smiled at me “yeah. She’ll have this one,” I smiled at the blonde girl, who walked off to receive a clipboard.

“Can I have your details please?” The woman asked, as (Your name) smiled and took the clipboard away from the woman, to begin writing her details down. “When is the earliest she’ll get this?” I asked “err... Friday,” “oh good, I’ll be round yours on Friday anyway, so I can help,” I smiled as (Your name) smiled too. “Are you two married then?” The lady asked, but I turned to her “no... I’m married to someone else; she’s my best friend,” I told the lady as she nodded her head “oh... I see. You two sound like a married couple. I only asked as I saw a ring on your finger, but not one on hers,” she smiled, but looked down. Although, this made me feel different towards my marriage, as though I didn’t want to be married, but I brushed that off and continued with the day.

Just as I looked up from the clipboard, I noticed a familiar body hanging around the back of the store, in a corner ‘pretending’ to be looking at a wardrobe, but I knew who it was, the guy who ruined (Your name) last night. He was following her, as he was constantly turning around to look at her.

“I’ll be right back,” I said quietly to (Your name), before leaving her with the blonde woman to go over to this man.

Tapping the man’s right shoulder, he turned around and looked at me with a shocked face. “And you are here because?” I hissed as he glared at me “does it concern you?” He hissed back “yes it does, because you’re meant to be in prison, not here stalking (Your name)!” I hissed again, but quietly as a couple of children have suddenly appeared beside us, trying to persuade their parents to buy a bunk bed. “Why are you with her? You’re a married man,” he picks up as I glare at him “because I’m her friend, and I’m helping her buy a new sofa, because what you did last night to her on her sofa is ruining her every day,” I hissed as he glared at me once again “she told you-” “She tells me everything! Even when you were dating, she told me everything. I’m the person she trusts the most... I know her inside out and I’m willing to look after her, unlike you, the sick bastard. Doing everything to ruin her, and I ain’t having that. So you either leave her alone or you’ll be sitting back in a cell,” I snapped at him, as the family next to us overhear everything and quickly move on. “Or what you gonna do? Tell mummy on me?” He mocks me as though I am a child, but I suddenly punch him across the nose, which sends him backwards into the wardrobe, where he has left the doors open, but as he is now packaged up in the wardrobe. I shut the doors and walk away.

“Where did you go?” She asks, as I approach her with a smile “just looked at that wardrobe,” I point out the wardrobe that I know Kevin is in, which is left abandoned, although a couple of customer service people approach the wardrobe and open it. They must have seen what happened. “What are they doing?” She asks, “Nothing...” I hurriedly say “finished? Good, let’s go,” I say, as (Your name) has finished writing her details and paid the woman, before I take hold of her left arm and hurriedly guide her out of the store, back to my car.
