Explore your Third Eye & Lower Dan Tien and other neat info! :)

Combining this powerful exercise with your regular meditations can help you explore and expand the energy body by using meditative awareness and awareness of energy to "focus" and bring in extra energy into the body and chakras - prompting sustained bursts of illumination and energy that will help you with your expansion of spiritual and energy awareness, as well as helping with the illumination and clearing of stagnant energy and/or emotional blockages.

*** While practicing meditation or healing therapies such as reiki, we often let Spirit and our Higher Self take over as we gently channel and surrender into love and higher guidance, however, this exercise is a great way to explore learning to experiment with "moving energy" with loving intention or can also be used to make the 'link' and/or increase energy during your reiki healing practice.(see links below on reiki, qigong, and exploring human potential)

*** 3 Dan Tien Exercise:

1. Third Eye Chakra (Indigo) (brow chakra)

Use gentle, rhythmic diaphragm breathing through the nose and into the brow to awaken the third eye and begin to perceive energy, vibration, and/or sensation.

Note: It's much easier to first learn to experience energy(chi, prana, qi) in the third eye by utilizing breathing techniques combined with meditative awareness.

After you've developed your awareness through practice and meditative attention you can extend your awareness to the hands and other chakras. Focus building and centering energy into the third eye first, then proceed to focus and build in both the third eye, and naval/lower dan tien mentioned below.

2. Bridging the Higher & Lower - The Third Eye Chakra(Indigo/Brow) with the Lower Dan Tien(Naval/Orange)

As you build and focus energy into the third eye the energy will naturally flow and want to descend from the third eye down(energy descends down the crown, third eye, and front of the body to center in the sea of chi and solar plexus, energy ascends in the opposite direction along the spine(kundalini)) "The Descent of this energy is often called the Descent of Grace as it helps to link you to Father God and your higher self" - http://www.twitlonger.com/show/khagg3 2) Kundalini Info: http://www.swamij.com/kundalini-awakening-5.htm

*** Your overall goal in this exercise is to "focus", "hold", and "charge" the third eye and lower dan tien(sea of chi)(elixer of life) (orange), as you utilize the overflow to fill the solar plexus, heart, and other chakras and learn to move and experiment with energy as you "light up" the entire energy body. You may also feel energy in the shoulders and elbows while doing this as well as increased kundalini coming up the spine! :)

Note: There is also an emotional aspect of this that may take time, consistency, and dedication to heal as you gradually work through any blockages, subconscious patterns, and/or repressed emotional energy that needs to be healed and/or released from the lower self, inner child, and/or subconscious. 3. Heart Chakra(Green)(Middle Dan Tien) - Use the Reiki "Gassho" pose(prayer position), heart chakra meditations, and meditations on loving kindness combined with music to clear any blockages in the heart chakra. The energy has been very much at a balancing act with Fire & Water with lots and lots of solar plexus(yellow)(free will, ego, personality, seat of the self). The water element is of the subconscious & heart chakra(green)(love/connection to the unconditional love of spirit, compassion, empathy, understanding, emotional healing). Try to find a balance between pushing yourself forward and burning through past blockages via exercise and/or other healthy releasing practices while being presently mindful of the heart's feelings.
