... regarding the make-up of the Teams being readied for Syria. I have spoken with their military leadership.
The 45 operatives who have thus far fallen were well aware of the (then) pending count that (now) 1 million children have become refugees as a result of the conflict.
Even while we have bias toward a faction within the Rebels, the Syrian military leadership knows that we are not there to "fight a protracted war"...and know why we're there.
We verbally agree upon some of the points...regarding the securing of certain weapons.
The majority of our fallen were not assigned to the weapons protection details.

Russia is telling Syria to let UN weapons inspectors access Ghouta
... since the uprising of 2011, the Russian government has not only proved to be an enduring ally of Assad, they have actually grown closer.
Assad is a reliable ally of Russia, and despite even though Russia is telling Syria to let UN weapons inspectors access Ghouta, we shouldn't expect that to change anytime soon.
