Dear Portugal. RE: The #McCanns
On the day that Gonçalo Amaral takes to the Courts in his defence of the Libel Action brought by the parents of missing girl Madeleine McCann, might I make a plea.
I do not know, exactly, what "deal" was brokered between our Countries that allowed two Arguidos, suspects in the disappearance of their missing daughter, to flee back to the UK.
I do not know exactly why the British MEDIA only report on this case according to the Editorial policy which is dictated to them.
I also do not know why or how such unprecedented political entanglement and involvement was allowed to take place at the VERY highest levels of Government.
Further, I do not know why there is a clear, concerted and orchestrated policy of attacking, refuting and derogating that evidence which suggests an alternative scenario to the "abduction" assertion as made by the McCanns and their wealthy, powerful and hugely influential team.
I also do not know why there is an equally clear, concerted and orchestrated policy of attacking, refuting and derogating anyone who refuses to believe and accept what is, ostensibly, a fabricated sequence of events relating to Madeleine's disappearance.
What I DO know, is that the case of Madeleine McCann is so VERY much more than a case of a missing girl..........
Whatever crimes that took place involving Madeleine must not be allowed to forever remain unsolved.
For these are crimes that threaten to alienate and divide two countries, whose shared beliefs, mutual respect and loyalty is, since 1373 the oldest alliance in the world.
The truth MUST prevail; for the sake of both countries, for Madeleine McCann and for us all.
