@hughlaurie Mr.Laurie,I was wondering if u could help me support a cause of great importance for my country,Romania:fighting a battle against open pit gold mining,with huge amounts of cyanide,and fracking.We want to attract enough attention to get our leaders to make laws banning cyanide mining and fracking(as in other countries in the EU). Rosia Montana's gold mine would be biggest in Europe, blowing up mountains and creating a massive ecological disaster,while the contract itself(with Gabriel Resource,Canadian company heavily criticized world wide)is extremely disadvantageous for us and the legacy of other profoundly corrupt political regimes.Fracking is more of the same as far as the contracts go and a disaster for Romania,the country with one of,if not the biggest,risk of earthquakes in Europe.It is believed that fracking can lead to possibly devastating earthquakes. I am not an activist or part of any organization, I am just one of the thousands of people who've decided to,for once, try and take a peaceful stand against a few of the horrible decisions made by the people in charge and that would cause irreparable damage to the environment and people. I am only a fan of yours and I've been a fan since I was in school, when a teacher recommended Jeeves & Wooster and Blackadder to us. My only request,if possible, would be for a picture of you holding one of our Save Rosia Montana flyers, the template of which can be found online(http://www.rosiamontana.org/sites/default/files/sticker_SVRM.pdf)and printed, or a simple paper with Save Rosia Montana (and No Fracking). It would be used, with your permission of course, to raise awareness and attract more people by probably simply posting it on the Facebook group Unitisalvam. With utmost respect, Ada R.
