A #Rohingya brother and #New York Time
Assalamualyekum! I met Jane Parlez(Chief Diplomatic Correspondent-New York Times) today. We made conversation for 1 hour(10:30 AM to 11:30 AM).
Jane: Myanmar govt has done census. How did your Rohingya community do census?e.g Myanmar govt did agreement with UN & International community that everybody can fill freely their ethnicity. Also Union Immigration Minister Khin Yee did meeting with your community and told that you are allowed to fill freely your ethnicity. But at the time census is nearest, govt said that Rohingya ethnicity wouldn't be registered on census and you are not allowed to mention it on census. So how did you(Rohingya community)do census?
Me: Govt started collecting data of census in San Pya(Basara) village,Sittwe. They arrived there with four hundred security forces and one hundred enumerators at 1:30 on 30 March 2014 as if marching for war holding weapons and they went house by house and asked just ethnicity name. When people mentioned Rohingya, they didn't write and ask anymore question and left just saying thank u.On that day,Vice President of Myanmar U Nyan Win arrived Sittwe. Vice President,Ministry of Arkan state and other authorities went to San Pya (Basara)village at 3:30 PM on that day 30 March 2014 and this delegation asked some people what their ethnicity name was. These people mentioned Rohingya ethnicity in front of Vice President,Ministry of Arkan state and authorities. So they returned from that village at 4:30 PM on 30 March 2014.Census was going on like this in every Rohingy villages with Rohingyas in the whole Arkan state.
Jane: How's health care in idp camp? How's condition of patients?
Me: At the moment,we are not having health care because here is no doctor and no INGO assistance in idp camps. Our patients are dying day by day for the lack of health care. Also it is not possible to send our patients to Sittwe General hospital because our patients are losing their lives in Sittwe hospital. We are having just dead bodies of our patients from hospital.I have some record of our patients who were killed by nurses in hospital giving poison injection and beating.

"This is story of a Rohingya patient that was narrated by a husband on his wife's death and a sister who was caretaker patient and eyewitness of how her sister was rudely killed by doctors and nurses in Sittwe General Hospital.
"My name is Shomsul Alam,s/o Muhammad Ameen,25 years old, living in That Key Pyin idp camp,Sittwe,Arkan.
My wife Hasina Begum, d/o Bodi Alam,20 years old was suffering from diarrhoea and can't urinate last week.So we took her to Dar Paing clinic, Sittwe on 7 April 2014.Doctors told that she was severe and need to refer her to Sittwe General Hospital. No need to worry and doctors guaranteed that she would recover if she is given treatment in hospital. So she was sent to Sittwe hospital by doctors of Dar Paing clinic. We spoke to charge-doctor and asked about my wife's condition on telephone 04322786.He told us that wife is improving and she would return tomorrow and we were to wait for her in Dar Paing clinic. Then, charge-doctor phoned and told was today in earlier morning that my wife was death. My wife was brought from hospital to my home at 12:00 PM 9 April 2014.After she had been brought,we saw a lot of signs of beating in wife's body. It seem she was beaten by Rakhinese nurses and doctors after she had been killed."
"My name is Jamila Begum,d/o Bodi Alam,30 years old, living in Thay Choung idp camp,Sittwe.I went to Sittwe hospital with my sister as her caretaker.Doctors and nurses ruthlessly treated us in hospital.Doctors and nurses kept beat and scold us insulting Rohingya.Whenever they came to my sister to give treatment, they used to tell us that this is not your Rohingyas' hospital. You should have gone to Rohingyas' hospital. In earlier morning 3:00 AM 9 April 2014,a Rakhinese nurse came and give green color of injection with a small syringe to my sister. When I saw it,I struggled my damnedest and prevented her not to give that injection to my sister. But,I couldn't stop her because a crowd of nurses came and caught me tightly. No sooner did nurse give this injection my sister started to struggle and died."
Jane : Do you have any picture of dead body? This is interesting story. If u give me any picture of this happening I can share it with international medias and I can do something regarding this issue.
Me:Yes I have and I gave her pictures of dead body and care taker that clearly shows dead body was beaten.
I gave her some other records of our patients were killed in hospital with details and pictures.
Jane:How do you think regarging Rakhinese extremists' attack on all INGOs on 27 March 2014?
Me: Rakhinese extremists attacked on all INGOs in Sittwe intending unable to do humanitarians in idp camps because Rakhinese communities are accusing INGOs that they are helping just Rohingya community. This is not only attacking on INGOs but also on all Rohingyas.
Jane: I heard that INGOs will restart their activities soon.Do you believe that they can restart their activities?
Me: I don't believe it 100%.It base on govt to make to be able to restart INGOs activities.
Jane: What's your feeling about your future?
Me: We have just a little bit of hope on our future because we are suffering since many years ago.But no change yet.We hope our issue will be solved if UN and International community extremely give pressure our govt.Especially our issue will be solved soon if America participate participate on our issue.I know that there is a law in America to give protection minority population on the world.America has power to solve our issue.America doesn't need to take permission to solve our issue.
