Dear @UKLabour @Ed_Miliband & @RachelReevesMP

Dear Labour

#newapproach launched almost a month ago. Despite an open letter to you Mr Miliband you have not responded. Despite many tweets to you Ms Reeves you have not responded. Are we to assume then, from your silence, that you have no wish to abolish the much failing, deeply abusive, not fit for purpose WCA? Are we therefore right to assume that the Labour Party, like the Coalition Party has no wish or desire to improve the "lot" faced by over 11+ million disabled people in the UK? Are we therefore to assume you are turning your backs on the votes of these 11+ million disabled people, votes which in reality could hit maybe 20 million once family members, friends & supporters are taken into account? I'll refer to this group of people as the #PurpleLobby because their votes, the #PurpleVotes, could in reality win you the election in 2015.

#newapproach has worked on a viable replacement to the WCA, we have sought feedback from many organisations and groups who feel it is a workable and totally agreeable replacement to the much discussed WCA. We have been in discussions with John McDonnell and Kate Green, both of whom endorse the replacement, both of whom interact with many disabled groups and are therefore aware of feelings.

#newapproach details can be found at newapproachuk.org where you will also find our open letter to you Mr Miliband. Please do take the time to read and respond.

#newapproach, along with other grassroots disabled groups, are fully aware from our frequent emails of how disappointed most Labour voters are with your lack of commitment to abolish the WCA. Perhaps we can offer to help you change this situation?

#newapproach would like to thank you for your time which we hope you will give to this matter.

#newapproach are Nick (@mylegalforum), Rick* (@TenPercent), Wayne* (@crazybladeuk) and myself Jane* (@newapproach_UK) - any of us will be happy to meet with you to discuss further.

Thank you.
