In response to the Susan Fast's Ireland Interview

Susan Fast interview had so negative and close minded opinions regarding Michael but here are two responses on lipstick alley that gives me hope guys. We have to keep pushing truth out there.

It's frustrating how many people dismiss Michael's work without taking the time to listen his work and try to understand the historic context of his art. They have this attitude that he was "only a popstar", so they refuse to give credit to him as a meaningful artist. I believe that through the works of these scholars and authors, that are focusing his artistry now, the view of Michael as a artist will change. Many people think this way because they're stuck in their prejudices about him as a person and due to the dismissal from the critics of his time. It's only five years since his death, and many things already changed for the better. In the next years, we will hopeful see a new perspective on him based on those works from Susan Fest, Joe Vogel and others.

i have hope that the younger generation who never really experienced first hand the absolute media mess that followed michael's whole life will be able to look past it. i was just looking at some of my old magazines (people, US) from 1993/1994...and wow...it was so bad i almost forgot myself. it's one thing to have lived through it like some of us did...he was in the news every.single.day, and it's quite another for younger generations to just have heard about it. far less impact, imo. susan fast is an example of critic who wasn't really a fan and able to connect to michael totally objectively. if only everyone did that....

edit: there is actually a canadian broadcaster i know who told me personally he had negative feelings towards Michael. all it took was him interviewing spike lee and watching bad 25 to change his mind. he admittedly only went by salacious headlines up until that point. he was so moved, in fact, that after the interview with spike lee he kept asking me if he was respectful towards Michael and if he did ok lol. better late than never i guess.
