@DaveAngela Not really - not hot, just spicy.

It's a peculiarly British trait to equate all spices with heat but, in reality, they span the whole spectrum from incandescent chillies to the sweetness of, say, nutmeg or cinnamon. For me, ground coriander adds sprightliness rather than heat (used judiciously), especially in conjunction with sweet paprika.

Try it - you'll be pleasantly surprised - not a chilli to be seen.
