Forecasters predict snow to develop between 2pm and 4pm this afternoon. Snow will switch over to sleet and possibly freezing rain for a time between 7pm and 10pm and then to all rain after 10pm.

1-2” of sleet/snow can be expected with ice accretions remaining below 0.05”.

Temperatures will remain near freezing as snow starts this afternoon and gradually climb into the upper 30’s by midnight. Steady rain will continue into Wednesday morning before tapering off to showers the rest of the afternoon. Rain will then pick up again after 9pm Wednesday evening and then transition to snow between 12am and 2am Thursday morning. Snow is then expected for much of Thursday morning and likely lasting into the afternoon.

Right now, 3-5” look possible for our area; however, confidence is low and any slight shifts could result in much higher snow totals. Temperatures will remain above freezing for the entire day Wednesday, falling to 32 degrees between 12am and 2am Thursday and into the upper 20’s by Thursday afternoon.
