"You were always the one that all of us went to when we needed a faithful ear. You were always true and cherished. The last time we talked you said we were all very special. You, my friend, are the special one! See you on the other side"

Dan Healy writing about the recently deceased Rock Scully (The Grateful Dead's one and only Manager Extraordinaire from The Beginning)

I had the pleasure of working for Rock once when the famous Gyuto Monks played a benefit concert for the local Women's Shelter at The Santa Cruz Civic Center in Beautiful Downtown Santa Cruz, California . My job, Scully told me, was to keep Pete Sears and Bobby Vega in Heineken at all times.

A truly nice guy who was responsible for legions of people experiencing the "best concert of their life" for close to 50 years.

R.I.P. Rock Scully and Thanks, Man.
May the Four Winds Blow You Safely Home....
