Update on Sophia Hiller (@Puffy61) via Rick Hiller - Pls pray for Sophia

Update --- Again, I have had many inquiries about my beautiful @Sophia Hillier. I am afraid that the news is very bad. They have told us that they have done all that medical science could do at this point, and Sophia's condition is extremely critical. We believe that it is now in God's hands, and it will take a miracle to save her, if that is His will. If it turns out that Sophia is being called home, I hope that I will have the strength to accept that and to help Rachael get through this difficult time and keep her on the great path that she is currently following. I have not lost my faith. I never will.

I feel very fortunate to have been able to gather all of our small family together today at the hospital and spend the day with Sophia. I am back at home because I am totally exhausted and Sophia and Rachael are going to need me less dead than I already am as I write this.

I continue to be amazed at the number of people who have come forth and have shared with me details on how Sophia has helped them through some very tough and emotional times. I always knew that Sophia was a kind and compassionate woman, I had no idea just how far her compassion reached. The support from all of our friends and those that I never knew I had has helped keep me going and words cannot express my appreciation.
Win, lose or draw, I want everyone to know that every single last person that we have met, both at the Juravinski and Grand River Hospitals, from the doctors and nurses to the custodians have all been simply amazing. I cannot say enough good words about them all, and I truly believe that they have given Sophia the best chance for survival, and these people, too numerous to mention, have Rachael's and my eternal gratitude.

Regardless of the outcome of this trial, I know that we have had a great many people of many faiths praying for Sophia or sending positive energy her way. I want you all to know that they have meant the world to Rachael and I, and especially to Sophia.

I know that this won't reach many of Sophia's friends, as I don't have any contact information for them. So if you know of anyone who knows Sophia and has been touched by her kindness, please pass this post along to them.

One last thing I want to mention. In addition to the heavy sedatives, they had to administer medication today to cause paralysis, as Sophia was fighting the breathing tube that has been keeping her alive for the past three weeks and this would make her more comfortable. I am sure that it has, but while I was holding her hand at one point, she somehow managed to fight through those medications and lightly squeeze my hand... twice. If that doesn't speak volumes on how much we love each other, nothing will.
