UPDATE: LBJ Express Weekend Work June 19-22
Eastbound IH 635 / Westbound Frontage:
• From Friday, June 19 at 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, June 22, eastbound IH 635 will be reduced to one lane between IH 35E and just east of Josey for pavement work. LBJ will cease tolling on the TEXpress connector ramp from southbound IH 35E to eastbound IH 635 at this time.
Also scheduled through the weekend, the westbound frontage road between Midway Rd. and Marsh Ln. will be closed. Traffic will be detoured to Valley View Ln. and Marsh Ln. The westbound exit to Marsh and the on-ramp from Midway Rd. will also be closed.
Preston Rd. Final Pavement Operations:
• From Friday, June 19 at 8 p.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, northbound and southbound Preston Rd. at IH 635 will be closed for final pavement operations. The Preston exit, and the eastbound frontage road from Spurling Rd. to Preston will also be closed. Traffic will be detoured to Harvest Hill Road, Montfort Drive and Hillcrest Road.
• From Saturday, June 20 at 7 p.m. to noon Sunday, June 21st northbound and southbound Preston Road at IH 635 will be closed for final pavement operations. The Preston exit, and the eastbound frontage road from Spurling Rd. to Preston will also be closed. Traffic will be detoured to Harvest Hill Road, Montfort Drive. and Hillcrest Road.
• From Sunday, June 21st at 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, June 22 northbound and southbound Preston Rd. at IH 635 will be closed for final pavement operations. The westbound frontage road from Hughes Lane to Preston will also be closed. The WB Preston on-ramp will also be closed. Traffic will be detoured to use the Westbound-to-Eastbound U-turn and Hillcrest.
Scheduled closures are weather permitting and may be postponed. Motorists are advised to follow posted detours, expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible.
