#Genocidal operation of #Thein Sein government against #Rohingya in Maungdaw
On Sunday, 26. 7.15, at 8 AM Aungdan Rohingya village of Maungdaw was surrounded by police officers and immigration led by police inspector, Nyein Chan Ye, chasing Rohingya whoever they saw in the street and arrested 20 Rohingya to make them illegal immigrants, police officers confiscated Rohingya's family list, the only official document that proves Rohingya are Myanmar national. In 1990, military junta's cruel and criminal team NaSaKa confiscated Rohingya's National Identity cards called NRC and replaced them with white cards to make temporary illegal immigrants from Bangladesh. But Rohingya still have family list called Thagaungsayin in Burmese which was issued officially as Myanmar National. Now, Thein Sein Government holds an operation to make all Rohingya illegal immigrants by issuing Green Cards which is a temporary card for illegal immigrants for two years.
In Southern Aungdan , Nabi Husein son of Nurul Islam, 62 years old, Karimullah, son of Nawzu Miah 47 years old, Jamal Husein son of Jalaluddin, Nabi Husein and his wife were arrested beat by police officers because they refused to give their family list to the police. After beating them, police officers confiscated their family list forcefully.
Police officers led by Nyein Chan Ye and Nayhtin Bo Lay announced everywhere using loud speaker that no Muslim can go out the village from now on, no one is allowed for fishing, farming and do other works until they hand over their family lists and accept Green Cards. Police officers are arresting and torturing Rohingya whomever they meet in the street to accept Green Cards. According to information, 500 Rohingya were forced to accept Green Cards in Maungdaw.
Thein Sein Government also has plan to implement genocidal operation of green cards everywhere in Arakan very soon. UN, EU, US, UK, Norway and other countries are expecting fair election in 2015 but power is still in hands of General Than Shwe who is the richest and enjoys highest official salary in the name of pension. Than Shwe and his military generals have been deceiving the World as if they are reforming.
We plead international community to stop genocidal operations of Myanmar Government against Rohingya immediately.
