. @oomarGCC Viz notion of GCC states forced to buy weapons b/c of Iran's build up: 2 sides of Gulf r stuck in classic security dilemma. Not entirely fair 2 blame Iran. I'd feel threatened by the *astonishing* fire power on the Arab side of the Gulf that utterly & completely outmatches anything/everything on "my" [sic] side. Playing the reductive, 'but they started it' game, I'd be mostly on the Arab side, as it were. But today is today. Rouhani has to deal with his own past too, just as he has to deal with the Arab side. So, reality is reality: GCC weaponry is terrifying for Iran. Can't expect them to do nothing - security dilemma!
