LBJ STRIPING

• Friday, Aug. 6 from 9 pm to 6 am AND Saturday, Aug. 7 from 7pm to noon
The westbound frontage road between Hillcrest Rd. and Preston Rd. will be reduced to one lane in the overnight hours to stripe the tie-in sections along the ramps to and from the future TEXpress Lanes. After this work, the westbound Preston Rd. bypass ramp will officially open for public use.

This work is part of the $3.1 billion LBJ Express project, which is now 98 percent completed. The project, which began in 2011, includes the reconstruction of expanded frontage lanes and main lanes and the addition of bypass lanes and TEXpress managed lanes, along I-635 between Luna Rd. and Greenville Ave. and I-35E between Loop 12 and Valley View Ln. LBJ Express is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2015.
