Why does @Facebook make it so difficult to manage "friends"?

Why does @Facebook make it so difficult to manage "friends" on Facebook? #Millennials #Boomers #Teen #GenX @GOP @TheDemocrats #TEAParty #OWS

Facebook could easily add sort options to find sort newest to oldest activity of friends, to show who follows and who doesn't follow me back, etc. In light of Facebook blocking 3rd party apps to manage friend lists, its appears Facebook does not care about its customer's time and efficiency... I have 84000 followers on Twitter that I can "manage" in about 1 hour, deleting those who havent posted in the last 30-60 days and/or those who do not follow me back. I have about 5000 friends on Facebook and it would take days and weeks in its current purposely difficult configuration to "manage" my Facebook Friends. Needless to say, I invest my time on Twitter being more user friendly and time/resource efficient. Facebook seems to want to play the role of "Big Brother" from the movie "1984". Is anyone working on an alternative to Facebook which is more intuitive, unfriendly and resource/time efficient in managing "friends"?
