FUSION FESTIVAL !!! MY FIRST ADAM SOLO CONCERT EXPERIENCE!!
So, yesterday I had the privilege of seeing Adam live at Fusion festival. Since the phenomenal experiences I had in both London and Birmingham with QAL in January, I honestly didn’t think I would get the opportunity to see Adam again this year, BUT OMG IT HAPPENED! So after queuing for two hours out front, and then a further two after the gates opened, we got in – FRONT ROW B STAGE/CATWALK, PEOPLE! The weirdest yet most awesome part of where mom and I were standing is that it was pretty much the same spot we got in QAL Birmingham – it was meant to be :’)
Of course once we had secured our spots, the realisation hit me that I would have the most perfect view of Adam on the main stage and the catwalk if he were to use it – it’s Adam so I could already strongly guess he was going to use it ;) Adam wasn’t on until just after six, but I did enjoy the music that came before him. I especially enjoyed Alexa Goddard and of course Connor Maynard was awesome and Union J! Oh, and I did see Shoshanna peeking out from behind the wings just before Alexa came on. For a second, I thought Adam’s time had been changed haha but then it hit me she also manages her publishing too.
When six o’clock struck, my attention went completely off Union J (sorry lol) and shifted to the wings as Adam was standing there! YES, GOD WAS STANDING RIGHT THERE! As those last few moments that felt like they had been stretched out for hours went by, the band was set up for Adam’s set!!! I felt all giddy and excited and it just hit me so hard that I was finally getting the opportunity to see Adam perform his own songs live (waited three long years for this, so it was about time!!!).
Talk about timing – about thirty seconds before Adam was due on stage, it started to rain (again)!!! I quickly wrapped my poncho around me, but literally flung it off seconds after initially putting it on. There was no way I was letting Adam see me in that poncho. It was yellow xD
He walked out and my jaw just dropped. LEATHER! For anyone who knows me well here, they will know how much I love Adam in leather, and the love I have for leather, period. After Adam, leather jackets/boots are what else I spend crazy amounts of money on xD I don’t know the designer of Adam’s jacket but omfg it’s so beautiful! And I especially love the detail on the right breast, beautiful! His whole outfit was simply perfect! I was sporting something similar myself – a leather jacket with a snake print top, not leopard – but very Glambert imo ;)
Adam opened his set with “Evil In The Night” – apologies for no vids from that performance. I told myself that whatever Adam’s first song would be that he would perform (unless it was WWFM – I’ll explain about that in a bit) then I would just watch him - minus my phone. Of course, vocals were on point throughout – no shock there. I think I may have done some weird dance during that performance haha – but EITN has that killer instrumental that you just have to shake your ass to :P.
Then, he performed “The Original High” and that was phenomenal! When he hit that high note (sooo higghhhhhh – that one haha); wow, if you think notes like that give you chills when you watch them on videos then hold up! Live and on those speakers – it’s like you can feel the vibrations from his high notes shoot straight through your heart and that is a feeling I believe all Glamberts should be given the opportunity to feel. (Just want to say quickly here thanks for all the love on that particularly IG post – can’t help but record those eargasmic long, high notes :) )
He then performed “Another Lonely Night” – that was also so beautiful! More jumping and waving and singing along on my account haha.
Then... it happened...
I still can’t believe it actually happened...
HE SANG “WHATAYA WANT FROM ME”. LIKE, CAN YOU NOT! I HAVE WAITED YEARS TO HEAR THAT SONG ESPECIALLY BECAUSE IT MEANS SO MUCH!!! AND YES I CRIED MY EYES OUT!
Thank you for all the beautiful tweets about thinking of me, as many of you guys know how much I was wanting to hear WWFM. Adam looked in my direction, several times, and during WWFM was one of those times! He probably couldn’t tell if I was crying or if it was the rain hitting my face lol. But, yes, I was very emotional during that performance, especially!
Then, he sang “Ghost Town” and the dancers came on! It was so awesome and a privilege to see Adam werking those signature dance moves of his. Also, it was really sweet to wake up this morning and see that one of Adam’s dancers had liked my IG video – as a girl who has danced since she was four, it’s an honour to get a like from a pro!
So then Adam’s set came to an end. He blew kisses to the audience and waved in my direction (the area where me and some other Glamberts were also standing).
Throughout his set, he was his beautiful, bold and utterly brilliant self! My first time hearing Adam sing his own songs was nothing but perfect! He made me cry, laugh, smile, dance, sing and captured me that at some points I forgot there was a thing called “taking pictures and videos” lol.
Thank you so much Adam for another best day of my life!!! (I can have more than one ;) ) . Also, just want to say credit to my mom for putting up with my fangirling haha and being there to experience all these moments with me! Finally, I just want to say Adam was off the scale and to sum up my love for Adam in a really corny and silly way, he’s totally worth going without food for eight hours for ;)
