Adam Lambert: "Responsibility Changes Everything."

The Promotag by and starring Adam Lambert (Homepage) started with waiting in the lobby of Le Méridien on the Ringstrasse. Perhaps the US musician was still plagued by jetlag or he was just brought by the hardships that so brings an interview tour with itself. Anyway, the fellow had the "Today" and I talk for half an hour, before Adam there but then managed to get out of bed and down to the interview room.

Despite fatigue, which he tried during our conversation to eliminate with a cappuccino, he was open and talkative. Although his answers compared to other interviews that I had looked at in advance, slightly shorter failed - Adam Lambert is super personable and warm. A real type to fall in love just!

Hi Adam! Your latest album The original high there for a while now. Are you still satisfied with the tracks?
Adam: I love you, yes! They are just really - it's real history and feelings from my life.

Electronic music is currently very popular. Was it a challenge to take your music for you, because you know that the competition in the market is now larger?
Adam: I do not think in this way about it. I was lucky that I with Max Martin and Shellback could work. So I had the feeling I could relax a bit, because I trust them. I do not trust her ears and her style. My music has always been somehow electronically. Clear various influences were mixed therein, but that's the music I like to listen to and I wanted to make.

I like thesis Boys really like, because it's just fun to listen to him. Which songs did you have the most fun in the studio during the recording?
Adam: Yes, These Boys is a very crazy song! It's funny because the two final tracks thesis Boys and Shame does not really fit the rest of the plate. An "Original High" moment is for you this one second in which one experiences something the very first time and to which one always remembers and longs back to this feeling you had. When did you have the last time as a moment?
Adam: The first night of the tour with Queen was! It's funny, because you go through life trying to figure out what you want. And sometimes you established what you want with the past, rather than concentrating on the present and develop. As the track says, the first night is always special, regardless of whether the first night with a new partner or even a tour. The Queen -Opening was a funky feeling and it never feels the same way as on that first night ...

Speaking of Queen tour: I've looked at a lot of interviews, which thou hast given lately and because some issues were there that appeared again and again - just about the tour or your sexuality. And you answer these questions every time so friendly, even if it's the thousandth time.
Adam: Oh, thank you!

Did you already so anyone ever asked a question that you really did not want to answer, for any reason whatsoever?
Adam: There were a few, yes. But I also very open, so I actually answer most questions. I'm probably not the guy who says, ". No, I will not talk" That is now time for the job! (laughs)

While we talk, I noticed among the many tattoos on his arms, many freckles on. Former musical performer and talent show participants actually has red hair, which was previously not visible under the elaborate make-up and black hair color. Today he likes it natural and adheres more like a James Dean meets Elvis look.

Your roots are in the theater. Alter it to you to be as an actor on the stage?
Adam: What I miss most in mind, the team with which you are together and the family that you make is. What you miss, because it makes it very funny.

But you've got on tour, is not it?
Adam: In a different way, but yes, you're right. I love the theater and there are some great musicals. But the reason why I wanted to be my own artist is that I wanted to help decide what I perform. I wanted to make my own show on the legs. Now I'm holding more responsibility, that makes it different.

Not too long ago you at Glee played. Although the acting on stage is very different to that for the camera; would you do it again?
Adan: Yes, that was fun! It can not be compared, but I would like to repeat the loving!

Any idea where or in what role that might be?
Adam: I do not know, do you have an idea? Want to write a movie for me?

Sure, I'll do! Once he's finished ..

You are traveling a lot, next it goes to South America, Japan and Australia. What are you doing to reduce your homesickness?
Adam: Oh, I travel for so long that I'm used to it. I've always had, just traveling around this gypsy-like mentality. That comes from my time at the theater: You're working on a project that will meet the people who became browsing quickly with them - and a few months later it's all over. I've always had this experience, so that's okay.

But I guess you've always something that reminds you of home, right?
Adam: My phone! My phone is .. everything! Last year I bought a house and it's definitely nice to be at home. So I get less home, then I take too much luggage on trips! (laughs) My toilet bag is so huge that it's funny. It is so: "Really, you need the really everything?" And I just think to myself that I want to be prepared for any event! And I have so many clothes!

But you have ceased to wear a lot of makeup. As yet the baggage should be less?
Adam: Yes, but there are still lotion, shampoo, razors .. it's complicated! (laughs)

So you're upgraded! The last time in Vienna you were with Queen - are you coming back soon with your own show?
Adam: I hope so! After South America, it goes along with Queen. Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Asia I travel from January but with my music. So hopefully we plan then to come to Europe if the journey has only just begun times.

Even so nothing is planned?
Adam: No, nothing is planned, but it's definitely something that I want!
