Help!! Could you spare $10 to sponsor a costume for a tiny dancer who can't afford a recital costume? I'm a part of an amazing non-profit, Dance Project of Washington Heights, which blesses our diverse neighborhood with pay-what-you-can dance classes. So if a family doesn't have money it doesn't matter. Their child gets the same dance class, love and respect that the more privileged kid next to them gets. It has brought our community together and brought so much joy to these kids. But we don't ask families to buy recital costumes. And we have 300 kids to costume. We want every child on the stage in 6 weeks to feel so special, so we are asking for your help! Would you consider helping? Just $10 costumes a little one and we will reuse the costumes year after year. This is our Gofundme page: http://bit.ly/1YJImwS If you have ever been that child, or have one of your own, you know how valuable the feeling of pride and joy is that this brings these children... If you would consider retweeting this, or even linking the Gofundme page to your Facebook wall I would be so grateful!! Xoxo
