@frippet @AustFiction I think there are SOME novels, but awash is right. There are loads of novellas masquerading as novels c/- thick paper stock, generous margins, lots of leading and big intros (I'm looking at you Gatsby, in the case of intros). Then there's the perennial 'and other stories ...' to fatten things up. So I'm glad to see Seizure, Giramondo, Melville House and some other (including Inkerman & Blunt) unafraid to call a novella a novella.
