#TanmayBhat Why we are selective in taking offense?

Sachin Tendulkar or Lata Mangeshkar has done no good for this country (now I don't add their personal achievements as their contribution towards this country). Yes, they did good with their respective careers so did satya nadela, sundar pichai and ambanis.

So, what makes them legend that can't be mocked at. Yes, there is. Newspapers turned them into brands like god of cricket and swar samragyi to make them able to advertise highly priced products.

Now, if I will say a farmer from bundelkhand region or a civil servant in some remote district would have done the same (which I somehow found a real contribution towards this nation) but they are not being seen as legends because they haven't got such tags and people (It includes me too) just don't want to associate themselves with someone who has not been praised by newspapers.Because, it comes with the daunting task of knowing them personally. So, they are not legends.

Now, let's come to offence.

Civil servants are being killed, farmers are committing suicide, teachers are not getting their due salaries across the country. But, these things are not offending. Because, it's tough. people will have to stand alone at first and in criticising the responsible persons.

If there is someone that should not be mocked at then it's the founding fathers of this nation like Pandit Nehru, Mr. Ambedkar and all of their colleagues.

But, do we really care when we see photoshopped images of Gandhi or Nehru or anyother leader. If not these things offends us then why something about Sachin or Lata Mangeshkar
