RAMADAN 2017 PLAN

RAMADAN CHECKLIST
TIPS TO PLAN YOUR RAMADAN
1. Your Health.
Make sure you are fit for fasting. Go see the doctor, get a health check done.
...
2. Your Sleep.
You have to wake up early for Suhoor. Sleeping pattern needs adjustment. Have an alarm clock ready for your bed side.
...
3. Your Diet.
You will be fasting so your regular breakfast, lunch, dinner times etc will get disrupted and you need to re-plan your meals. Write down meal plans. Budget for food and where to buy it from.
...
4. Your Prayer Times Schedule.
As you will be regularly performing the five Salat prayers, and the Taraveeh prayers you will have to plan your activities around their time-table. You will also need to know the daily time-table for Sehr and Iftar. Get yourself a timetable.
...
5. Your Prayer Accessories.
Do you have the right prayer rugs for the Masjid? Some people have mobility issues around performing prayers and need stuff e.g. soft prayer rug if knees hurt on hard floor etc. You need to shop for these things to make sure your prayers are done in comfort during Ramadan.
...
6. Your time devoted to Quran.
Do you have your personal Quran with you for daily reading, recitation and reflection? What about books for Dua's and Dhikr? If not, then get yourself these. Also plan some time for listening to Islamic lectures and talks to gain knowledge.
....
7. Your Zakat.
Ramadan is also the time when people give Zakat. Have you calculated your annual Zakat and decided on the recipients? If not, then this is the time to do it.
....
8. Eid Clothes.
During Ramadan it gets very busy with tailors etc. So if you want new clothes stitched for Eid (like many people do during Ramadan), get it all done early to avoid the late rush.
