3 stream fundraiser for Out of the Darkness walk funds to American Foundation for Suicide Preventation
what and why?
I will be participating in a walk on my college campus Thursday 4:00-7:30pm to fight suicide and support AFSP's goal to reduce the suicide rate by 25% by 2025. I found out about it Sunday looking through weekly news for my campus. I wish I found out earlier! I want to do my part and help as much as I can so other than donating myself I wanted to set a goal and challenge myself to stream as much as I can within the next few days. Mental illness is extremly widespread. Being apart of the online gaming community I know people who battle mental illness and depression. Our real chat was created to let anyone vent about their struggles. Offline I've had several friends attempt suicide. One being my best friend. "A suicide is like a pebble in a pond. The waves riple outward"When someone dies by suicide, the people impacted most dramatically are those closest to the person who died: family, friends, co-workers, classmates. As a result, the people who interacted regularly with the individual who ended their life will miss the physical presence of that person and typically feel the loss most intimately. An entire community can be changed by a suicide. The reach of the pebble's waves is much greater than the size of the pebble itself. This is a chance to support in the names of those affected.

Monday April 8th - 1:00pm - 7:00pm
Tuesday April 9th - 6:00am - 11:00 am
If $250 goal achieved: extra stream 7:00pm - 11:00pm
Wednesday April 10th- 1:00pm - 7:00pm

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention maintains a registry of support groups including a specific list for surivor support groups.
No donations will go through my paypal.

what's the goal?
1st goal - $100
2nd goal - $250
3rd goal - $500
Each goal will trigger an event with incentives.
Incentive tiers
All donations - written on a board (usernames or first names) This board will be carried while I walk the walk event on April 11th @ 5:30. Photos and videos to come!
Every $20 donation - gets a drawing next to their name on the board
Every $50 donation - gets a thank you card
During the event every donator will be added to the bowl. Every $50 donation block reached will trigger a name to be pulled from the bowl. Winners win prizes from the giveaway pool. I've added 3 things to the giveaway and i'm asking if anyone want sto give things to giveaway please DM me.
