Director's Afterword

It was a silly pipe dream when I was thinking about a collab to celebrate my one year of joining the community. It was a collab that was quite literally to get everyone together regardless of whether they could sing or draw. So when Claire quickly agreed to help me organize PCC back in April, I was a little surprised. I knew I could count on Claire and Jikku, since we had worked on Stepper together, but they honestly deserve more praise and recognition.

As the director, I had a vision for the project, but it takes much more than a vision to make something like this come to fruition. I'm not one to make dramatic and sappy posts, but I feel the need to acknowledge what made PCC the project it is.

So I'm sure you guys know that our Producers worked their asses off to make this project, but let me just lay out everything they actually did. Right from the start, they helped me create the promotional advertisement for recruiting members. They set up google forms, made art posters for twitter, and organized all the info of our members into spreadsheets. Jikku probably made like at least 20 spreadsheets, organizing all your guys' social media, line submissions, art progress, color palettes, OC designs, mural checklists, and many more. And that's not including their jobs as executive art leads. I can't stress enough how much these two took it in their own hands to make this project the best that they could make it.

The next person I want to thank is Alice. Alice was basically what you would imagine a secretary does and god damn are those really nice to have. A lot of her efforts for the project go unnoticed because only I see them. She's helped me organize files, write out tedious information, proofread all my work (and all the twitter posts i didn't mess up), and has always been there for me whenever I needed it. It goes without saying that she did a great job managing the discord and running community events. PCC would've been many times more stressful without her <3

What can I say, except for that we really should have given the editors more time to work with. Given the amount of time they had, I'm so proud of how the video turned out. Marc and Indra are some of the most professional people I've worked with, and a job well done is a job well done.

To the rest of you guys, I can promise that all of your efforts that you put into this project, made it that much better. Whether it was offering to help with art, and taking over more work than you signed up for, or just being responsible and making it easy for everyone to work with you. Whether it was following all the recording guidelines, or always ready to send in more lines, harmonies, and adlibs. Whether it was participating in our events, so that our community collab really felt like a "community." You guys are honestly what made PCC and I'm not here to patronize all of our efforts, but to honestly just thank you guys for being the reason that PCC was a community collaboration that we can all be proud of.
