PLEASE READ {About the "Feral" Hawks}

{QUICK INFO}

This is a darker/more "feral" version of my "Bird Monster" AU Hawks. My original (and heroic) "Bird Monster" Hawks is over at @ValiantTalons.

Basically, at some point in his younger years, he was experimented on to improve his power as a hero, which brought about some strange "side-effects".

My Hawks has the same powers as canon Hawks, just with an added "bonus" of being a bird monster if he wants.

This darker Hawks allowed himself to give in more to his bestial side and learnt to harmonise with that side of himself.

After this, he broke free from the control of the Hero Commission after infiltrating the League of Villains.

He became somewhat of a chaotic force, wanting to try and show the world the truth of the Commission and the "corrupt" heroes, whilst also allowing his more animalistic impulses to be unrestrained.

{BACKSTORY}

-Keigo was born on the island Kyushu, Fukuoka, which has a very long history with poverty.

-His childhood home was shown to be dirty and neglected, with garbage, broken shards and alcohol bottles on the floor.

-At some point during his childhood, Hawks saved the lives of many people from a high-speed car accident.

-The public were shocked to discover the saviour was a young child and the hero public safety commission decided to train him as a hero.

-Hawks was trained to be a hero, with the commission drilling interpersonal skills into him from a young age, so he could master the art of deception and infiltration.

-Along with this, higher ups at the commission had been secretly intrigued in the idea of experiments, to improve Hawks' physical abilities and boost his quirk.

-Of course, they kept this tightly under wraps in order not to cause the public to lose faith in heroes.

-The public story was that the young hero was being treated for a rare illness.

-These secret experiments seemed to be a success, though it also seemed to have had some side-effects on Hawks.

-Whether it be via over-expression of his inborn quirk, or a random mutation, Hawks had become a bird-like being.

-This side of him had to be trained harshly, though ultimately Hawks had decided to not use that part of him unless he had no other choice.

-During his time with the Commission, he'd become close to another boy who was a few years older.

-This boy was Touya Todoroki, oldest son of Endeavor.

-Hawks and Touya had become extremely attached to each other, which caused heartbreak when Touya's death was announced.

-However, Hawks was not allowed to mourn, being forced further into the Commission's training to become a Pro Hero.

-At just 18 years old, he became a Pro Hero and even had his own agency.

-Along with this, he ranked within the top ten of Pro Heroes in Japan, becoming the youngest and fastest hero to ever have done so.

-However, he was not interested in power or being like All Might.

-He had preferred the lower ranks, due to it granting a little more freedom and less pressure, but without even trying, he'd risen to 3rd place in the Pro Hero rankings.

-During the rise of the League of Villains, Hawks took on Fumikage Tokoyami as an intern at his office.

-After the Kamino incident, Hawks became the number two Pro Hero in the rankings, just behind Endeavor.

-Hawks was then ordered to investigate the League by infiltrating their ranks as a spy.

-He had no choice but to obey, just like he had done since he had been first brought to the Commission.

-At some point during his investigation, he had started to sympathise with some of the villains he interacted with, especially as he began to get to know them.

-When the Commission found out about Hawks' "sympathy" for the villains, they were enraged and Hawks was brought before them.

-Claiming that Hawks had been "brainwashed" by the villains, the Commission locked the avian hero away for a couple of months.

-During the time he was locked away, Hawks was tortured and interrogated to try and "snap him out of it."

-This was when Hawks realised that he was simply a pawn, a tool that the Commission wanted to control and that any "other" thoughts would be seen as a threat to the Commission.

-Hawks decided that he didn't want to be a caged bird anymore, that he refused to have his wings clipped.

-His rage grew more with each day he was kept imprisoned, which resulted in him starting to get to grips with his bestial side more.

-When he snapped, he'd allowed this more bestial side to run rampant in order to be freed from containment.

-Hawks violently broke out of containment, killing those who stood in his way before escaping into the city.

-After this, the media went wild, claiming that the former Number Two Hero had gone crazy and was now one of the villains.

-Hawks, however, believes that he just shed the chains that had been forced upon him, and that he is still working for the good of the world.

-Now free from the Commission's influence, his goals are to reveal the truth about the Hero Commission and hunt down any "corrupted" heroes that get in his way.

-Whilst there are still some flashes of his former self, Hawks became more unpredictable and aggressive after he broke out of containment.

-He often allows his bestial side to influence some of his decisions, whilst he remains in control of his form.

{BIOLOGICAL INFO}

Eye Colour: Gold
Hair Colour: Ash Blond
Skintone: Light Tan
Height (Human form): 5'8"

-Hawks is a young man in his early twenties, with a slender and narrow build.

-He has feathery ash blonde hair swept messily backward with some of the front tufts sticking up in arcs above his head, notably thick eyelashes, and some faint stubble on his chin.

-His eyes are golden in colour and rather triangular in shape, with two little black triangles just below his tear ducts, making his eyes somewhat resemble those of a bird of prey.

-Due to his Quirk, he has a set of large bright red wings with feathers that gradually lengthen the further down they go.

-Hawks' body has a lot of scars, including on his back, neck and even one across his lips.

-Because of the experiments to "make him a more powerful hero", Hawks has another "side" to himself, one that is more bestial and dangerous.

-This side of himself has two "stages", both of which Hawks learnt how to control.

-The First Stage form is a semi-avian form, with feathers covering his lower half along with a feathery fluff around his neck

-This stage also gives him bird-like limbs and sharpened teeth and talons.

-The Second Stage form is completely animalistic, resembling a bird-like beast with four limbs, sharpened beak and dangerous talons.

-He used to fear his "monstrous side", but when he learnt to control it, he became a lot more comfortable with it.

-Because he is more comfortable with his bestial side, even in human form, he possesses the neck feathers, the sharpened teeth and the deadly talons on his hands that normally would show on the first stage.

-Hawks possesses an intersex biology with both sets of reproductive organs.

-He possesses a penis and external testes.

-Along with this, he possesses a womb and ovaries which are linked to his cloaca.

-The birth canal is separated from the anus via a cloacal flap, which opens only during mating and birth.

-As he possesses both systems, this means that Hawks can impregnate others as well as become pregnant.

-Hawks seems to experience a somewhat human reproductive cycle when it comes to his uterus and ovaries, though his actual gestation period is more avian.

-His body forms eggs every month, ready for fertilisation.

-If the egg/s aren't fertilised, Hawks will lay the clutch of unfertilised eggs (between 1-5) around two weeks after ovulation.

-Unfertilised eggs are roughly the size of a goose's egg and are relatively easy to lay, provided they don't break inside of him before being laid.

-However, if he becomes pregnant, he will carry the growing and developing eggs in his womb for around nine months.

-After nine months, any unfertile eggs are reabsorbed into the body, providing a boost of nutrients to Hawks, in preparation for labour.

-Hawks will then go into labour and lay his clutch of eggs.

-When the eggs are laid, the babies tend to hatch within the week.

-Hawks would usually have 1-3 young per viable clutch, and each viable egg is around the size of an ostrich egg.

-Although the young are smaller than the average, they will grow quite quickly within the first year of their lives and catch up to other children in terms of size.

-He would be able to feed his young via breastfeeding, with his nipples and mammary glands located on his chest.
