I’m never into the rom-com type of shows/movies but since I started my journey with BL series with Hello Stranger (and I liked it), I started to try and explore on this genre esp Filipino ones para support local. At first, I have to admit, it was too “cringey” for me and too unrealistic with the cheesy pick-up lines and all. Plus, the lack of actual cinematography (bec it was shot only in a very linear, videocall format by themselves by iPhones) didn’t really help with their chemistry onscreen. I found myself not really invested until the 4th or 5th episode where everything gets too real. Kuddos to the director and the actors for really taking on this very unconventional project. Sobrang mamaw lang talaga ng mga indie actors. Episode 12 - wala akong masabi with that long one take shot. Script-wise, depth-wise, story-wise, and acting-wise, ANG GALING.
