In any event, the Supreme Court must intervene, if necessary, to restore the licitness of a process that has been tarnished beyond historical precedent.
If it is asked to do so but declines, it will not only have betrayed the nation but called its own integrity into question -- in perpetuity.
But with courts refusing to accept Trump’s constitutionally valid #challenge against a vastly spurious process, the die may have been cast.
An insurrection will have succeeded.
